Origin

Odesseus Coast, the land of the Fourth Mage. Known for its tropical climate, scarred by mountains and magic. The Fourth Mage found early on that they loved to teach the people of the region about the secrets of all magic and how to harness it. So they made a city dedicated to the teachings of magic, a safe haven for the magically gifted to learn their powers, called the City of Knowledge.     The Fourth Mage taught for centuries, becoming oblivious to what was going on elsewhere. People from all over the region, including King Odesseus, came to the mage asking for help in bringing back balance to the region. The Fourth Mage realised that they had made a terrible mistake, seeing the violence and war that was spreading across the region, and decided to create a courthouse dedicated to bringing back order to the region.   The Fourth Mage worked as a judge for just under a decade, during which a lot of rules were set in place to better the region. One being the banning of firearms, which the Fourth Mage saw as a source of too much violence and power, even for their own liking. So the ban on these firearms was put in place to try to stop it from escalating further. Any existing guns were confiscated and melted down and used to forge weapons for the guardsmen of each city.   The Fourth Mage felt lost being stuck in the courthouse for so long. So they started to study for magical means to bring peace to the region. Some way that wouldn't require them to be there themselves. For over a month, the mage studied until they made a breakthrough! A way to animate inanimate objects, which they started with a candle. The candle's flame came apart from the candle itself and formed a body made of pure light, almost blinding.     The mage was shocked by this discovery, although they realised that this magic wasn't strong enough to make beings fully sentient, they could only follow simple commands. So they decided that this creation would become their new and improved guardsman. These were named the Flame Guard. They were distributed across all major cities to lower crime rates within those cities. The mage then realised that even with these Flame Guards, they would not be able to leave the city unattended. So they decided to enhance their ritual making the object more lifelike. The mage summoned a piece of clay and started to carve it piece by piece until a slightly humanoid figure was made. The mage started the ritual only to be interrupted halfway through due to a fight breaking out in the gallery of the courtroom. When the fight was dealt with, the mage returned to their room only to see the clay figure gazing out of their window. The mage was baffled – how could this figure have come to life without them completing the ritual? The mage began to study this clay figure for any anomalies but found none... So they were left confused but happy with their creation. They didn't give it a name but gave it a job – bringing order to Odesseus Coast. And so it did, watched closely by the mage for a week before being sent off on its mission. The mage continued to teach at school for a few years, during which some significant events took place outside of school. The clay figure created an event called 'Calling Of Talent', where each city would hold its own contest in which people could show off their skills and talents. The best five from each city would then compete against other cities' best five talents. This happened every two years, bringing together people with incredible talents ranging from basic archery skills to musical pieces... The clay figure did as it was told for years without any problem, yet every time a new case came before them in court, they began to feel increasingly disillusioned with their role as judge. The figure slowly started twisting their thoughts and became almost mad. They would start laughing randomly during cases and when giving verdicts would look at both sides and say "Why not let them fight it out?" People in court laughed at first, but soon realised that this figure was being serious. The figure eventually made everyone remove all furniture from their room and create a small arena where they could watch fights take place. They sat in amusement as people fought each other until death – not realising that this figure was learning techniques used by these fighters... People from around Odesseus Coast tried revolting against this figure but doing so only made it break fully. It became known as Chronos – meaning "end of time", which propelled forward evolutionary phases within moon cycles – becoming titanic in size and earning itself an ominous nickname: Mad Titan. The Fourth Mage was alerted not long after but it was too late – Chronos had already managed to convert most people into clay beings... The mage saw all these people being turned into clay beings and decided to curse them using magic, turning them into statues and banishing them all onto an island where they renamed Domain Chronos. Chronos vowed revenge on the mage saying that one day it would turn whole region into its domain... The mage knew that one day Chronos might break free so as countermeasure created three new protectors: Hades (1), Poseidon (2), and Zeus (3).   These three figures had been tasked with protecting certain parts of Odesseus Coast – Hades land, Poseidon sea, and Zeus sky... Yet school needed help learning new powers so Hades fast learned preferring practical lessons than reading books within a month teaching him deemed powerful enough leave him given ownership of a major city called Versonia which he renamed City Hades...     Poseidon struggled with reading and writing – most things seemed impossible for him – so he became a bully at school normally targeting intelligent people one day Poseidon left school looking for answers why he couldn't learn easily like Hades... He decided venture into sea when he felt an overwhelming sensation power he searched power could feel finding nothing but seashell he held in his palm turning around seeing his contract – not knowing how he read signed power could feel now within him but started becoming short of breath passing out... He woke up underwater panicking Poseidon tried swimming up towards air soon realising he could actually breathe found his contract bound him sea forever trapped... Zeus struggled learning anything when it came to spell-casting teachers believed he may have been getting distracted so made private room forced him practice till got it his way said still trying no success...
