Thervian

Thervian is a port city on the eastern coast of the Placid Sea known for its large and incredibly calm harbor, the wind blocked off on most sides by natural rock walls. Unlike the other settlements along that coast, Thervian has stayed loyal to the Aurean Empire despite being cut off by land, and is its last stronghold in the region. The rest of the region has fallen to tribes from the Stronghills or come under the sway of the city of Starspire.   The city has shrunk since its peak before the collapse of the empire, and many of its buildings are abandoned away from the harbor and main streets. It controls none of the surrounding area, with the Darkhill tribe from the Stronghills controlling everything up to the city's walls. The tribe will trade food and lumber to Thervian when relations are good, but at other times the city has to import what it needs through its harbor.
