The Shadow Watch
Structure
The agents of the Shadow Watch are widespread, though never in the public eye. Almost every agent works alone, reporting back to a regional supervisor or dispatch agent when they have completed their assignment. Those supervisors report back to the heads of the Watch in the Crylastine Plains. Two of the highest ranking members of the Watch have semi-permanent residence in Fairfalls to be in close proximity to the Crown and the Council. One sits on the Council itself while the other is an adviser to the King.
Public Agenda
The agents of the Shadow Watch seek to be the eyes of the Crown, from the farthest lands of the Kingdom to the back streets of the Capital itself. While the Army might patrol the border and towns maintain guards for security, the Watchers inform the King directly of potential threats and provide information on people and places that might have otherwise have escaped notice.
History
The Shadow Watch was born from the philosophy that originally set the Shadow Elves apart from the rest of the Elven Kingdom; that the enemies who would threaten aren't going to be easily seen from the safety of the light, but instead skulking in the darkness. The Shadow Elves have made it their mission to make the darkness as much their home as it is of any creature or force that would use it to harm the Elves or the Child Races they protect.
