Drow

The Drow are a secretive and suspicious race. It is rare to see a Drow but when they do leave the caverns they always return with slaves of other races. Some have escaped from the Drow and have returned with some information about their captures. Drow society is a Theocratic Matriarchy, their queen known as High Mother of Lolth. While the nomadic tribes are lead by a High Priestess. Many small clans make up a tribe, these clans are lead by Priestess.   The Drow nomads travel through a vast cave network that connect the far corners of Asurus. Very commonly Drow raiders and gathers leave the cave network to search for supplies and equipment. When a tribe fines an opportunity or has the confidence raiders will emerge from the caves to raid and pillage the surface dwellers.   Most but not all Drow are part of nomadic tribes. There are small cities dotted around the cave network. These cities serve as trade posts and farms. The homes and buildings are carved into the walls of the caves. A massive irrigation is used in specific rooms dedicated to growing large crops of mushrooms and fungus. Great artificial caves have also been built into these cities. These large caves are used as temple complexes.   Rumors have been spreading of a massive city deep in the caves. Supposedly the City is filled with precious stones and metals, were the most powerful Drow worship their dark god while in constant ecstasy. Others say the city is full of vile horrors and demons brought on by the dark rituals of the vile Drow.
