Fruit of Light

ack on our home world, glowing in Her light, there was one blessing which surpassed all others. Our goddess offered this blessing to the greatest of her followers. A fruit of pure Radiance which grows only within the Pool of Life; a massive pool of liquid light which flows from the center of the world. At the center of this pool of light is Her grand temple, where She resides with the greatest of her priestesses. Vines grow out of the pool and cling to every column of the temple. It is from these vies that the Fruit of Light grows.

Those who are blessed to be called to the Goddess' temple and eat the Fruit of Light are filled with Radiance. Flooded until their is nothing left but pure holy light. Man, woman, or child, the blessed become an extension of Her. A being of light and power who can go back out into the world and spread that blessing. They become our beacons and lead us through the darkest trials humanity ever faces.

One of these blessed ones came with us to this world, as they lead all expeditions to new worlds. This once hostile world which would have devoured us. The blessed's light pushed back at that darkness. He used his light from the Goddess to save us, driving away the dragons who walked these lands and clearing a place for us. Even now, his light lingers in the sky keeping us safe. The remnants of one blessed by our Goddess. A disk of Her light.

The gift of this fruit is the highest blessing any of us can receive. It is reserved for the few who truly serve Her. The greatest of Her children. Now one of Her Children.
