Elements of Oabos

Oabos is an elemental world. Unlike some worlds where life arose on the planet through a habitable environment and evolution, life on Oabos arose through the intervention of the young world core. The planet and atmosphere were suffused with world-light, Oas, and slowly cultivated life within the raw elements of the world. What began as simple animation of otherwise unresponsive matter developed into distinct, self-aware beings. Every one of these new lives started with a soul — a small core of Oas within them, mimicking the dormant world core within the planet. Eventually these new simple beings developed more complexity and awareness.

Souls grew and formed into rings around their core. More complex beings developed more rings, while simpler animate forms had only a single ring related to their form. Full Elementine, the native peoples of Oabos, have three distinct soul rings with elements tied to their mind, body, and spirit.
