Element of Synsri

Soon after the element of the ground began to manifest as living stone, the element of synsri started showing life of its own. Synsri is the air itself and all of the motion that can be found within it. While the air has always moved and flowed, this element became apparent much faster than Flowing due to its temperamental and playful nature. It was easy to see when storm winds would pick up objects to play with rather than staying with the rest of the storm, or when small gusts of air would blow perpetually on a noisy object despite it being an otherwise calm day.
While Synsri was seen manifesting life very early on, it took much longer to settle and be properly understood. The current theory on why it took so long for this element to settle is due to the distance between the wind and storms and to core of Oabos. Since Synsri fills our skies, it is naturally the most removed from the denser Oas emanating from the core of the world.

The humans seem to have a good understanding of Synsri, but just refer to the element as Air. Air is seen as the most versatile element, but they also seem to view it as a lesser element in battle unless used at a very large scale. Humans do not appear to understand the true nature of the element and what Synsri Elementine are capable of.

Synsri has some overlap in how it presents with Flowing. Both elements embody freedom despite what the world may it in the way. Where Flowing will slowly wear down the obstacle, Synsri will simply go around it and move on. While there can be violent storms and angry motion, for the most part Synsri is light and curious. This lightness can be seen as both an inquisitive nature or flighty distraction. Regardless of how it is viewed, Synsri is unbound.

MIND
Synsri minds are flexible and ever-changing. They tend to be curious and prone to flights of fancy. If something catches the attention of a synsri mind, they may stay with whatever it is for long periods of time as the only focus. If something is uninteresting, however, they will have a hard time focusing on or remembering it. Synsri minds also fall more naturally into greater system thinking rather than fine detail focus, unless a specific detail catches their interest. This is often mistaken for being distractible or hard to direct but is actually a symptom of having a greater general awareness of the areas and situations around themselves. When a synsri mind comes up against an obstacle —physical or otherwise — they tend to move around and past it rather than pushing or coming into direct confrontation.

If a synsri mind is placed in opposition to the body ring, it can be very hard to keep them centered and focused. They have very little mental connection to their physical body and are often drawn into contemplating larger situations and environments. A synsri mind closely aligned with the body still has an awareness of the greater scope of understanding granted by their element but is firmly rooted within themself and likely to focus on how those large events will impact them.

BODY
Synsri bodies are comprised of air, motion, and change. This element is often mistaken for being simply air, and that is how synsri bodies are understood to manifest. Intentional and controlled air movement creates the base form of an elementine synsri body. The body may stay as just solid air or controlled wind but may also pick up debris to build the shape of their body.

In myth-touched humans, their bodies are still flesh from birth but are affected by the element of synsri. This may manifest as seeming weightlessness, graceful and fluid movement, never seeming to get winded or short of breath, or a body which can move very fast and seem to skim over the ground. There have also been some cases where a synsri bodied myth-touched human has shown to gain vitality and energy from having wind blow around them.

SPIRIT
Synsri spirits are interesting in the vast ways that abilities can manifest. Since the truest definition of the element known at this time is that of the essence of movement, many of these abilities manifest as having control over the movement of something. Opposed body and spirit rings might manifest as the ability to control the air or objects at a distance, while aligned body and spirit rings may manifest as an ability to control the movement of their own bodies or actions.

One of the key distinctions between synsri and flowing is related to conflict. As mentioned previously, synsri does not exert extreme force on objects firmly in its way. Instead, it will move past or around the obstacle. This is true of spirit manifestations as well. Even a person with the ability to command strong storm winds will find it difficult to force those winds to push against an obstacle rather than moving past it. That is not to say that synsri manifestations cannot wear away at an obstacle, but rather that the impact will be more gradual and less direct.
