Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Kilian is in near perfect health for his age, a benefit of his elvish ancestry and his years as a ranger in the forest. While not the strongest, he is quick, often giving him the element of surprise.
Body Features
A scar traces Kilian's forearm, which he received during his attempt to free a group of people from slavers. Most other injuries have healed neatly over time. His body is fairly well-toned, a result of his line of work which required much physical exertion.
Facial Features
Kilian likes to keep himself somewhat presentable, so his beard is neatly trimmed. He has a slightly crooked nose, a consequence of many battles.
Mental characteristics
Gender Identity
Kilian is a half-elf, though leaning more towards his human side in terms of appearance. As such, he follows the typical gender identities of his more prevalent heritage, and thus identifies as male.
Sexuality
Kilian is heterosexual. Before setting out on his current journey, he was married and had a daughter, though both his wife and child were taken from him before their time.
Education
Kilian's education has come only through practical means. He has spent a large portion of his life within the forests where he grew up, and later worked, so he has become adept at recognising particular plants and herbs which can be used to heal, or kill.
Employment
Kilian used to work as a monster hunter, scouring the outskirts of towns for creatures that might bring harm to their populations, and exterminating them. He has since left that form of employment, and is now a member of the Adventurer's Guild.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Kilian's line of work was no easy task, and his adeptness at it gained him some renown, even being titled the Woodland Arrow, in recognition of his accuracy with the bow even in thick forests.
Failures & Embarrassments
Kilian made the mistake of attempting to help free a group of people who were being transported by traffickers, alone. He was unfortunately caught, and locked in a cage to join the other captives, before later being freed by a passing pair of adventurers, whom he has since teamed up with after finishing what he originally went there to do.
Mental Trauma
Kilian lost his wife and child in an attack on the town he lived in. At the time, he was out working, and returned to find his family's corpses lying across his front door. He will forever remember that scene, even now that the culprit is dead, and revenge has been enacted.
Intellectual Characteristics
Kilian has a keen mind when it comes to seeing the physical world, and can often perceive hidden dangers, even if he doesn't consciously realise it. This natural talent has saved his life more than once.
Morality & Philosophy
Having seen the injustices of the world, be it by man or monster, Kilian has made it a personal goal to help deliver justice to those who deserve it.
Taboos
While Kilian is willing to put his own life on the line, he never involves himself in work that would cause harm to the undeserving, unless there is absolutely no other choice.
Battle-hardened ranger, who spent a large portion of their life working as a monster hunter to keep the outskirts of his town safe. He left his role when his family was killed by Uruz, and set out to kill the one who destroyed his life.
