CCS/G-13 Dynaguard
The revolutionary bodyguard droids that defied the odds as the first electric-powered combat automata to hit the open market
There is no greater blasphemy in our great empire than that of the blue menace - Electricity! Does The Iron Emperor not tell us that his gifts alone shall avail us? Do his scriptures not tell us of his sacrifice? Of all that which he has sacrificed his great life to give us? His steel bones, diesel blood, and blackpowder breath?! Dear listeners, his teachings are clear! In embracing this blasphemous technology - which casts aside everything our great and holy emperor sacrificed himself to give us - we have turned from his holy light! Is our fight not one of survival? Of humanity?! Of MORALITY?! In embracing this heretical, blasphemous technology in the name of our eternal crusade, do we not cast aside the very thing that has brought us this far? That makes us special?! We are not great because of our technologies! We are great because of who we are! Because of our holy Iron Emperor, who martyred himself and was reborn to save us! To embrace the blue menace is to cast him aside - to place technological advancement above our emperor! The menace must be destroyed, dear listeners! All who study it, all who learn from it - they must all be cast down, and their techno-heresies burned to ash!
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Though similar in concept to many other Automata such as the IV1-Series Combat Droid or IV2-Series Combat Droid, the CCS/G-Series is similar only in its base design as a steel-framed Combat Droid with a humanoid chassis - in all other aspects, this is where the similarities end. Constructed from proprietary technologies that allow it to run on the techno-heresies of electricity rather than diesel fuel, the CCS/G-Series is a technological wonder of the modern era whose exact specifications are kept fanatically well-guarded by Thorbourne Mechanicals not only because the Technis Brotherhood constantly seeks to destroy them and their heretical technologies, but also due to their numerous rivals in the Empire who would love nothing more than to steal their secrets and produce electrical weapons and combat automata of their own.
Ultimately however, the greatest mechanical secret of the CCS/G-Series is their power source - bar none the most closely guarded and tightly kept secrets of Thorbourne Mechanicals - which is kept under such tight lock and key not only because they run on a potent Electric Motor(A technology considered blasphemous and heretical by much of the Empire, including the Technis Brotherhood), but most critically because even to the Master Techsmiths of the Empire and the Technis Brotherhood, the CCS/G-Series Power Source runs contrary to all known laws of Physics and Thermodynamics as true perpetual motion engines - not losing energy over time, but gaining it - generating more and more electricity the longer they remain in operation with seemingly no supper limit. For precisely this reason however, the CCS/G-Series are required to regularly shot down and cycle their power sources at the end of each day to prevent damage to themselves or the surrounding area caused by excessive power generation within their frames. This unique motor design, capable of generating seemingly limitless electrical power, affords the CCS/G-Series the ludicrous power reserves to power their numerous electrical-based weapons to such powerful charges that they have been observed to melt metal and instantly kill creatures on contact.
Manufacturing process
Due to not only the extreme secrecy of the CCS/G-Series' construction or the fanatic ends which Thorbourne Mechanicals will go to so as to ensure their flagship product remains a closely guarded secret, but also to the extremely isolated nature of the Braluca Supermassive Foundry Yard where all CCS/G-Series Units are constructed, information on their tooling or manufacturing process is essentially nonexistent - the extremely isolated locale of their Foundary Yard means infiltrating it is virtually impossible, and any attempts to sneak in are invariably met with death.
History
Ultimately, the history of the CCS/G-Series begins with an impossible project - one that, in spite of all the odds, clawed its way to victory. Nearly a half-century prior to the modern day, in the wake of The Second War for Damnadon, as the influence of Commander Yarnablast continued to rise and his Damnadon Death's Head Militia sought to re-arm and prepare themselves and the city they loved should it ever fall under attack again, the soldiers of Damnadon soon came to demand new and revolutionary new arms and equipment as part of a sweeping modernization program designed to update and upgrade many dated practices and supply chains in the Ironite Hive Militias - however, due to extreme pressure from the Technis Brotherhood that even the legendary Commander Yarnablast could not wield his influence to overcome coupled with long-standing treaties between the Iron Empire and the Technis Brotherhood that "banned all production of Combat Automata by Non-Brotherhood Organizations within the walls of all cities of the empire past, present, and future"(Which were writ in ages past to grant the brotherhood a stifling monopoly on the production of automata in the Empire), the greatest of these modernization programs, the CCS/G-Series Combat Droids(Whose production contract was awarded to the then minor company known as Thorbourne Mechanicals), were very nearly mothballed in the pre-production phase due to Thorbourne Mechanicals simply being refused access to the production lines and factories needed to create them.
However, after an internal memorandum was released within Thorbourne Mechanicals calling for all employees to submit their ideas for solutions to this problem, the now-infamous "Design Team 9" pitched a plan for an off-site facility deep within the Great Ruati Rainforest on the continent of Ruatiwanga - this pitch ended up being so successful that not only did Thorbourne Mechanicals create an internal division(Which eventually grew into a completely seperate subsidiary company) to manage the creation of the CCS/G-Series known as "Computech Combat Solutions", but they also went a step further and gave the new division essentially unlimited funding to see their project through to completion.
Despite all this, it was not an easy task - made even more difficult by the fact that the project had to be seen to completion in complete secrecy, lest agents of the Technis Brotherhood ruin the project - so difficult in fact, that Thorbourne Mechanicals was very nearly bankrupted in the process. However, ultimately, the genuises on 'Design Team 9' - who came to be known coloquially by their new nickname 'Team DREAD' - saw the project through to completion after a series of landmark treaties with the local tribes of the Rainforest were made in the final hour, saving the project from cancellation, by securing both the land and the goodwill of the locals so construction of the facility could finally begin in earnest deep within the jungle.
Thus was born the now legendary "Braluca Supermassive Foundry Yard", nested deep within the darkest reaches of the Great Ruati Rainforest on the continent of Ruatiwanga - a facility so isolated and distant as to be essentially untouchable by agents of the Iron Empire, or the Technis Brotherhood who may have designs on ruining the CCS/G-Series or stealing its secrets for themselves. Protected by the local Ruatiwangan Tribes of the Jungle, the legendary Braluca Facility stands as the only Ironite Facility constructed beyond the Empire's Borders AND as the first Energy-Independent Ironite Structure built outside a Hive City in several thousand years - and has single-handedly saved Thorbourne Mechanicals from bankruptcy and earned them the eternal ire of the Technis Brotherhood(and many jealous rivals across the Empire) ever since.
Ultimately, the rest is history - with the Braluca Foundry Yard constructed, the first prototype of the CCS/G-Series was displayed to the public in the 1955 World's Fair, where it wowed investors and citizens alike and promptly entered mass production the following year.
Significance
While not as culturally significant as the IV1-Series Combat Droid or the IV2-Series Combat Droid, nor as utterly revolutionary as the X-Series Commando Droid, the significance of the CCS/G-Series is a bit more nuanced - and largely tied to the internal power struggles of The Iron Empire. As an empire so utterly tied to Steel, Diesel, and Gunpowder, the rise of Thorbourne Mechanicals and the CCS/G-Series marks the rise of the "Electro-Cults" that have begun to embrace the largely heretical power of Electricity in latter years - growing more and more prominent and powerful thanks largely in part due to the influence of Commander Yarnablast, legendary hero of The Second War for Damnadon.
Though once the influence of the Ironite Government and the Technis Brotherhood was enough to squash any attempt to study the heretical powers of electricity(Considered a blasphemous technology by many of the Tavrossian faith for its existence outside the "Sacred Three Technologies" of The Iron Emperor) - however, with the CCS/G-Series entering mass production despite the monumental resistance from the empire and the Technis Brotherhood as a whole, the once-impossible task of researching or studying the powers of electricity has become an attainable goal for those who would not have dared to risk the ire of the Government or the Technis Brotherhood before.
Ultimately, the significance of the CCS/G-Series cannot be overstated - for their mass-production has marked the emboldening of the 'Electro-Cult' movements largely centered on the Hive-City of Damnadon, and a growing technological and religious schism fermenting at the very core of the Iron Empire; one that even now has the entire Empire resting precariously on a knife's edge, lest the Technis Brotherhood, who supplies 98% of all war material, combat automata, weapons, and equipment to the Ironite Military, make good on their recent threats and cut off the Empire from their foundries completely until the heretical technology of Electricity is expunged from the empire as they demand.

Rarity
Unlike many of the other Combat Automata in service of the Iron Empire such as the IV1-Series Combat Droid and IV2-Series Combat Droid, the CCS/G-Series is a rare sight for most citizens of the Iron Empire due largely in part to the Series role as a bodyguard and protector unit. Marketed largely towards high-ranking members of Ironite Society, Powerful Merchants or Businessmen, or any in need of protection from rivals or other enemies, the CCS/G-Series is one largely focused on protection of the powerful - and as such is seen largely in the civilian sector protecting prominent figures of the Empire such as the leaders of the Ironite Hive Cities, prominent Nobles or other figures in those cities, and more. However, it is not uncommon for CCS/G-Series units to be gifted or sold to certain ranking members of the Ironite Military - whether due to the exchange of favors, to curry favor, or simply due to a particularly wealthy member of the military purchasing a unit or two for his or her personal protection(Or rarely, being given or loaned one due to credible threats on their life).
In recent years, the Inquisitorius of the Empire has expressed interest in acquiring a handful of CCS/G-Series units to support and protect their inquisitors during their work, but as of the modern day the details of the contract have yet to be fully hammered out - due to a variety of factors ranging from the Inquisitorius' insistence on a 'custom variant' of the CCS/G-Series constructed to their exacting specifications for their use alone, pressure from the Technis Brotherhood, funding issues, and more. If the deal were to go through, however, it would be an utterly landmark contract for Thorbourne Mechanicals and their Subsidary, Computech Combat Solutions.
Raw materials & Components
Much like the other high-grade combat automata on the market, the CCS/G-Series's chassis as well as their signature electrostaves is made of solid Sanctyrite-A - the strongest and most durable material in all the iron empire. Beyond this, little is known of their materials or components - which Thorbourne Mechanicals keeps a very close watch over to ensure such information is not leaked in any way.
