Lucian Darkwater
Lucian Darkwater is a 35 year old Shadar-kai who runs the Lonely Imp pawn shop. He has lived in Taureluum for the past 5 years. He was pulled into the Underdark from the Shadowfell and spent a few months wandering the underground labyrinth before being found by a Dusk Herald and settling in Taureluum.
Lucian is a hexblade warlock who learned his craft from a Shadowfell entity named Eleadora, the Mistress of Blades. The price of his pact, not yet called up, was "a future favor." His hedonistic lifestyle is an attempt to drown out the feeling of the Shadowfell forcibly tugging his soul back to his home plane. In his first life as a Drow, he was named Loel and had a two years younger half-elf sister named Lyri. Loel's father died when he was still a baby and then his mother died when he was 12. At just 22 he was murdered by members of a crime syndicate called the Red Serpents his sister ran afoul with a crime syndicate, leading to his murder. His sister buried him outside the village they grew up in. The epitaph on his grave reads "May death bring you the peace that eluded you in life." Lucian's soul seemed destined for suffering, however. As with all Drow, he was reborn in the Shadowfell following his death as Loel.

Appearance
Lucian is fairly tall for an elf at 5'11" and has the pale, colorless skin typical of beings from the Shadowfell. He has black eyes, white hair, a number of piercings, and barely perceptible facial tattoos. While in Taureluum, he wears merchants' clothing in dark colors. For combat, his armor is black half plate with dull grey chain, a deep hood, and a smooth white mask with black and crimson detailing. The mask hides the gauntness of his face in Shadowfell pockets.
