Ulam Tor

The goblins, hobgoblins, minotaurs, and goliaths of Ulam Tor understand their role well. Defense against land and sea invasions from the north. Housing a powerful navy and a strongly entrenched army in the north pass they stand ready for a fight. The community's competitive nature has led to the birth of a yearly festival - Festival of Proving .   This city is the closest to a typical city of the era. It is believed it is built on a ruined former city of the Denesari Empire or otherwise attempts to emulate the style. Timber framed stone buildings of uniform size and style line the streets in a grid like pattern. One of the few things to break up the monotony is the market square - which of course is perfectly square shaped and where all of the city's commerce transpires.
