Personal history
Long ago, before this plane was colonized by mere humanoids posing as gods, there was a man, with no known name, origin nor relatives, who lived in the Lands of Dreams, for all his eternity he spent wandering. The man had a desire so simple that every single mortal being yearns for it, a purpose. In time, he communed with a Lesser Deity known as the God of Dreams, and a purpose he was granted, a little girl he could call his daughter, born of Dream-ash and granted mortal life and conscience. The task was simple: “raise this little girl to until she can fly off the nest, and thee shall find happiness.” He named her, Emma.
The man then abandoned this land of dreams, and travelled to a realm where no outer or inner god may ever rid him of his happiness, Novarkan. In the early decades of the kingdom, he decided to live in a peaceful central village where time would fly by as he raised his child. But one accursed night... may have spelt the end of his mission for purpose,+.
The wretched Sentinels raided the village, searching for buds fit for riping, bringing it down under the earth… for living flesh and soul residue. But Emma... oh she was special. Dream-ash is scarce in these lands, and this girl was fuly made of it, so when they shackled each and every adult in the city, killed and buried every soldier, and rounded up every child, the Dreamer had lost hope, his girl had been brought to the chopping block, and he was to blame, it was his fault for misplacing his trust.
Then the girl was killed in ceremony, her heart pierced, and her soul forcibly brought out for devouring. The archdruid, Morgue, first acolyte of the Sentinels at the time, took the honor of devouring her flesh in bestial form, whilst his apprentice, Margh, was granted the gift of consuming her soul.
The man was destroyed, his soul aching with pain, and his head filling with rage. He broke the shackles bounding him in a single move, took a twinblade of a druid guard’s hands and in a surgically precise swoop, chopped clean the cranium of the archdruid Morgue. The guards were flabbergasted, and grabbed him with such force, his bones were broken with pure momentum. He then lowered his head and accepted his coming destiny, waiting to be executed, but he had done the act, he took revenge, and he smiled in pure bliss, then closed his eyes...
However, when he finally opened his eyes to receive retribution, he saw the face of the same archdruid he chopped off, restored, remade, reborn, his head back in place, he was inmortal, as all powerful Novarkan beings were, an unacceptable fate. But the archdruid? Oh, he was surprised, by his swordsmanship, a twinblade is horrible at clean cutting, and he did it in one single swoop, so, as a reward, he cut the head of every villager he knew while forcing his eyes open, and after he was finished, he exiled the Dreamer to The Forest… leaving him to 'survive' on his own, a feat dared impossible by some.
He later was declared dead... until recently...
