Session 2: Death and Vats Report

General Summary

The cabal picked up where they left off, with the Sleeprs on the warehouse floor all simultaneously experiencing Breaking Points due to Fergus' obvious use of Time magic to superimpose their previous selves upon them. After ascending the ladder to the catwalk, the cabal confronted the ghost, who proceeded to mock them and used its Numina to inspire violent rage in everyone present, mages and cops included.   Using her Matter arcanum, Evernight opened a tunnel in the liquid of Vat 157 to reveal an Avernian gate at the bottom of it, suffused with the powerful energies of death. Using Space magic and his knowledge of local history, Lucas divined that the key to opening the gate was for someone to suffer an injury from chemical burn before the gate, and that this factory was the site of a horrible industrial accident which caused many deaths. After fully Scrutinizing the Avernian Gate, Evernight determined that the space within the vat also functioned as a sort of universal anchor for any ghost nearby.   Lucas then called up the manager of the plant with Fergus' Fate-ful assistance and used Psychic Domination to compel her to close the factory temporarily.   The next day, as Lucas was walking home from the convenience store, he felt the telltale nostalgia and peripheral mage sight ping of a nearby Awakening. This is where the session ended.
