S-Chan

Introduction

An online imageboard and associated cell of Net0 hunters. S-Chan (the S standing for anything from Supernatural to Situation Normal All Fucked Up depending on who you ask) has been operating for almost fifteen years now. Early on, it was nothing more than a quickly thrown together board for people to share unusual stories, with a particular focus around Nova Secundus. Since then though, it has grown and has a cult following.   More than one attempt has been made to permanently remove the site by both official and unofficial means via their ISP and domain manager. These attempts have come from everyone from the The Nova Secundus Tribune to Tachyon "TacTec" Technologies who have claimed acts of terrorism against their facilities.

Specialty

There is little in the way of the supernatural that S-Chan has not at least heard of if not seen for themselves at one point or another, even if vicariously. Their members do not limit themselves to one particular bogeyman. Although the ones they are most wary of are the vampires they know have their finger on the beating heart in Downtown/

Tactics

Information is everywhere. No one can help not getting their phone out to record and share on social media. The trick then for S-Chan is to parse the truth out. Almost every member spends an inordinate amount of time trawling forums, social media posts and replying to direct messages and emails with claims of the supernatural. When they are sure they have found something fresh that is when they go for a first hand account.   Commercial drones, high powered focal lenses and questions are what S-Chan uses the most. But, when they inevitably get in over their heads they know how to defend themselves. Personal carry often includes a firearm with enough stopping power for most things. But, the ultimate strategy is always collecting enough to expose the truth and get the people to call out the monsters and abusers in the city.
