Cernunnos

Cernunnos is the ancient god of beasts and wild places. Often called the Horned One, Cernunnos is a mediator of man and nature, able to tame predator and prey so they might lie down together. He remains a mysterious deity, as his original mythos has been lost to history. Along with his brother, Herne the Hunter, he is thought to be the oldest god in the elder pantheon.   He is often seen to represent the benevolence of nature. In some legends, Cernunnos and Herne are the same god but in others, Herne simply impersonates Cernunnos to tarnish Cernunnos's good name. Because of this, Cernunnos is regarded with suspicion amongst worshippers
