Deathroar, Kleos, and Wick found themselves in a distorted fascimile of reality, feeling older than they recalled becoming. Amongst them stood their comrades Anaharath, Wrench, and Virus, seemingly overcome by dark forces that drove them to attack the trio. With great hesitation, they slayed their comrades one by one before the figures disappated into mist. The group found themselves overcome by a dense fog and lost each other in the fray. Their efforts to find each other seemed to be thwarted at every turn, as the fog seemed to distort sound and alter the physical qualities of items that exit line of sight. A shadow, some creature of the dreaming dark, appeared before them and began to taunt them with it's uncanny understanding of their psyche. Shadows coiled into puppets of familiar faces and hurled mockeries at each in succession that none could formulate a response to. When the spirit had finished it's psychological games with the trio, it receded and pulled the fog with it. The group was left in a clearing that soon began to shake, and before them appeared a Wyvern made out of recognizable shadow and its horde of phase spiders. The three made relatively quick work of most of the spiders, but as they moved on to the Wyvern and the last two spiders, Wick was felled trying to escape the reach of one of the spiders, and released their grasp on life after losing a limb to the bite of the dragon. The Wyvern made short work of Deathroar as a dark force seemed to pull the Wyvern back from the brink of demise. As Kleos stood alone on the battlefield, face-to-face with the nightmare creature that destroyed his friends, he channeled all his fury through Fang, beheading the dragon before it melted into an inky black liquid. The trio awoke with a start from their nightmare. Wick seemed to be fully exhausted from the encounter, but Deathroar was quick to heal him. Kleos expressed interest in discussing the nightmare, since it was clear they all were lucid for it, but Deathroar quickly shut his suggestion down.
