Bogliolion Big Top Circus

It is the largest and wealthiest circus in the world, and the third most traveled. It has exhibitions from every culture and walk of life, performing for the masses. Merchants from across the continent will sell knick knacks and toys from distant lands, and games of skill and chance hold tremendous reward pots that have been growing for over a decade.   Attractions beyond the games and performers include a petting zoo, bestiary, private boat tours of the lake, and scavenger hunts.   The circus collects tamed wistbeasts sent down from the Rognande tribes, though tamed is not always the best term for the animals. The starved and beaten things can barely move by the time they are released from their cages, and the "Beastmasters'' who perform captures of the wild animals mostly spend their effort getting them to run away in the first place.   It is said that any truly great performer should be a headlining act for at least one full season at the circus. Many who seek to prove themselves therefore end up paying Melvin a wealthy sum to get their place in the spotlight.

The circus itself is a series of massive tents held up by grand central poles and ropes spanning out, holding up a thick fabric roof. The walls are a lattice of wood encircling the inner fabric wall.

It started as a simple band of performers making small change as they entertained the people who came to the lake for travel and tourism. Eventually, as the enterprise grew, more people came for the entertainers than for the natural beauty of the area. The performers had already been working around the lake, picking up their boots and heading out when the locals were satisfied, so as they grew they made sure they were still always able to make it to the next show.   It combined with the Merkish tournament tents in 3233, combining the gladiatorial performances into their rolling band of entertainers. Nowadays the bouts are the greatest place to see grand masters of the martial arts duke it out.   The circus is currently run by Melvin Mallard, a portly man with a greasy mustache and greasier smile. His rotten wealth spoiled him from birth, and still he has the energy and heart of a child first visiting the fairgrounds. Beneath his rotten sweet surface is a cruel and calculating merchant, who does not hesitate to strike out at workers who are out of line.   The circus has its fair share of runaways, children and teenagers who want to escape their simple lives and live a life among the performers. This is how the circus gets many of its labourers actually.

Those who come to the circus will likely stay in one of the smaller yurts that are set up for public use, for those who wish to stay the night. The yurts are very small and simple things, rapidly set up in the dozens and housing about five people each.
