The great spiral of the northen ocean

The great spiral of the northen sea is a gigantic whirlpool with a radius of approximately 1100 kilometers. It was created by lord Anloma of the fire continent in 5768e to stop boats arriving from Norcola. Many people have drowned in it since, mostly explorers trying to reach new land.

Creation

The great spiral was created by Anloma, who used Radioactive magic to create it. He conected the base of it to an enourmous amount of underwater uranium to give it an almost infinite source of magical power.

Impact on the environnement

The great spiral eliminated almost all wildlife in it's area in the days following it's creation and pushed the great fish banks towards the continent of Norcola. It is now inhabited by many water elementals and a conection to the elemental plane of water is thought to be hidden in the uranium block at it's base.
