Iron Council
The Iron Council is the govering body of Ironpeak. Established centuries ago, the council embraces a "democratic" system where various factions contribute to the region's governance.
The council comprises seven representatives, each elected by a different guild: the Miner's Guild, the Smith's Guild, the Merchant's Guild, the Arcane Lorekeeper's Guild, the Hunter's Guild, the Artisan's Guild, and the Hearthkeeper's Guild.
From among its members, the council elects a High Councilor to serve as the presiding officer for a limited term, usually five years.
The Iron Council is responsible for maintaining order, promoting trade, managing resources, defending the realm, and preserving Ironpeak's traditions.
While the council's influence is significant, the individual guilds retain a degree of autonomy, ensuring a balance of power and preventing any single group from becoming too dominant.
