Origins
Before the creation of the first mortal, there was a world of primordial chaos and entropy. While there were already entities that existed on this plane of existence, a singular deity stepped out of the magical energies known as the Leylines. Once they had discovered the strange and unusual creatures that inhabited the world, this deity started to form siblings, a family that could help harness the different aspects of the world. After centuries of innovation and creation, the deities eventually created the first mortal beings. Followers that gave them a more consistent form and started the mythology that became the canon of this family. Eventually during The Dawning, each of these beings were given a name and form. When combined together, they formed the Prime Pantheon, led by the power of The Weaver, the first god of existence.A Shattered Family
After many years of joy together, something caused a sudden and intense split of motivations among The Prime Pantheon. A number of deities became hardened and bitter, especially towards their creations. These deities started lashing out and attacking the creatures, believing that there was a need to start again from scratch. The other side of this split came to their defense almost immediately, protecting settlements and other collections of people as best as they were able. This became known as The Rift and divided the pantheon into The Deceiver Gods and The Heraldic Gods. Swiftly taking control during The Rift, The Weaver banished the physical forms of each of The Deceiver Gods into their own Divine Domains, holding them there until a permanent solution could be devised by The Heraldic Gods. However, this took an extensive toll on The Weaver, he knew that it could only hold for so long, as a result, he started in motion a set of events to attempt to protect the world from a cataclysm.Placeholder Flower by Owen Davies

A Divine War
Around 10 years after the death of The Weaver, the rituals set in place to bind The Deceiver Gods was broken by the efforts of a mortal known as Enoch Ylvaris. His actions unleashed the might of the Deceiver Gods, and without the magical might of The Weaver, there began a divine war that would see the deaths of millions, leaving around ten percent of the population alive. Massive casualties weren't uncommon, and the desecration of ancient technology and landscapes were prominent. During The Shatter, several among The Shattered Pantheon worked to create powerful artifacts that were imbued with an element of their divine power or were created by powerful mortals and blessed by one of the deities. These artifacts would become known as Fragments of The Shatter and allow those who wield them to bond and unlock near mythic power from the objects.Gated Away
The Shatter only came to the end when Shathol with the blessing of their siblings, Tyril, Thoura formed The Tynau. The Tynau was a set of magical rites that collected together banish the physical forms of each god and leave them stranded in the Outer Reaches within the dimension created for each of them based on their powers. Shathol remained as the Guardian of the Tynau, keeping the gods from returning to the realm by acting as a metaphysical barrier. The physical forms of the deities are still trapped behind the Tynau in the modern day. While some of the pantheon have been working to unravel the rites and claim the world for themselves, most of the pantheon have discovered that they can present themselves to mortals who have an intense divine connection with them. Some of these connections have been considered so powerful that the pantheon have chosen the individual to act as a champion or chosen among their ranks.Placeholder Flower by Owen Davies
The Pantheon
There are three sides to The pantheon in its current form. Each have almost been granted a moral position within the realm with Heraldic Gods representing goodness, Deciever Gods representing evilness, and Shathol representing neutrality in all its forms.
The Heraldic Gods
Considered the guardians of mortals, the Heraldic Gods are often worshipped publicly across the realms. They represent a vast number of areas of life, however, they are still quite separate from the rest of the world, with each having faults that are questioned by many people from across the realms.
The Deceiver Gods
Often looked upon as bastions of evil, many of the Deceiver Gods are just those who were against the normality of the Heraldic Gods and their devotion to their creations. Each of them have their own grudges against the other within the Pantheon, including with other Deceiver Gods, leading to a lack of cohesion in any forms of attack against the world.
Shathol
Unlike all of the other gods, during The Rift, Shathol refused to pick a side, instead choosing to take a stand and heal those who needed healing and be an open ear for anyone who wanted to talk. As a result, many people across the world are skeptical of Shathol, especially after they created the Tynau.
