Strife of the Red God

The Strife of the Red God is a strange blood curse that links a burning powerful rage within the natural world and the raging burning war that is harbored by Disaki.    

Description

Transmission

The Strife of the Red God can primarily be obtained through the modification of the body to add the symbol of the Red God in some form. Through this does not guarantee that a creature will obtain the Strife, they must also be chosen by the Red God themself. Often the Strife is transferred from one holder to another upon their death, or defeat during war.  

Symptoms

There are not many symptoms to the Strife. Normally there is a singular marking of the symbol followed by bouts of powerful and overwhelming rage that cannot be quenched. While in this raging form, the afflicted is blinded to all notions of friends and becomes frenzied, attacking the nearest creature they see with an intent to kill.

Notable Cursed

• The Olfanshae: First recorded creature with the curse. Was sealed in a tomb underneath The Great Lambor Forest by The Highbearers.
• Horbin Knoblex: A goblin afflicted with The Strife. They have taken up residence within a buried temple to Disaki within the Great Lambor Forest.
• Uvris Call: A member of the Veritas Convention in the Ossalimarian Empire. They hide their affliction of The Strife. However, there are still moments of powerful and overwhelming rage.

History

The Strife has been a source of mystery for many followers of The Heraldic Gods, particularly those who worship under the Bastion of Law. The first person who was afflicted with this curse was recorded as appearing in 375 AR. They became known as the Olfanshae, a creature of powerful rage that was sealed away in an ancient tomb by the combined forces of the Highbearers of Sovmora.   Any creatures found beset with the Strife are seen by the followers of Disaki as his chosen and as such are mythologised by them throughout history. The Olfanshae was the first known outside the circle of followers, but several have cropped up thoughout history. Once a creature is cursed with The Strife, they must either succumb to the darkness and rage, or learn to control it and unleash it effectively.
