Koris-val

Koris-val are sentient creatures originating from The Black Palace. They are devout creations of Azrovil, and act as his servants within The Black Palace.    

Description

Appearance

The Koris-val can take on many different forms, often they take on twisted variants of beasts and other simple creatures. One known Koris-val has taken the form of a giant spider with humanoid features such as eyeballs, teeth, ears and other strange appendages lining up and down their abdomen. The true form of a Koris-val resembles that of a cloaked specter, with two piercing yellow eyes embedded deep under the cloak.  

Abilities

While some Koris-val can have unique abilites that are specialized for unique tasks, most Koris-val have the following abilities:

• Immaterial. While in their true form, Koris-val are completely immaterial and as such they are able to avoid all forms of physical damage and pass through walls.
• Dark Visage. Koris-val are able to create an aura of pure darkness. While in any form of darkness, including this one, the Koris-val are able to entirely disappear.
• Silent Form. Koris-val are entirely silent, unable to be percieved by any creature without magical means. Even then, they are able to produce a bubble of pure silence that effects each creature within a short range of them.

Known Koris-val

A number of Koris-val have worked at the behest of their dark master and travelled to the material plane as a way of influencing worshippers or blasphemers. Several Koris-val have been written about including:

• Y'llra'drokma The owner of Tryn Tower, they are a Koris-val who appears mostly as a humanoid with elongated arms and a second face almost bulging from their abdomen.
• Krok'norin'veri A Koris-val that approached several followers of Azrovil to pull them closer to their faith and empower the deity. They take the form of a giant spider with humanoid features such as eyeballs, teeth, ears and other strange appendages lining up and down their abdomen.
