Grodvir Bronzeforge

A young version of Grodvir Bronzforge is a prominent figure in a writing project of mine, known as Project Winter. As such his eariler days of life are considered flexible at this moment.   However, this contains the information that is accurate post the actions of the novel, including the members of his family and his current actions and personality.
Highbearer Grodvir Bronzeforge is the current Highbearer of Law within the city of Sovmora.

Description

Appearance

In his later years, Grodvir has a very defined nose, particulaly in relation to the thick white beard that lines his jaw., he has some thick hair on his head that forms a prominent widow's peak. While his irises are clearly a light grey colour, the pupils never seem to move due to the blindness that holds sway over Grodvir.   Often Grodvir is seen walking around Sovmora in his official robes as a Highbearer. As the Highbearer of Law, Grodvir wears thick white robes that cover his entire frame, it is gilded with prominent gold trimming and holds a powerful aura surrounding it. He is also known for wearing a furlined cloak that was crafted as a symbol of his connection to the Terlasian Royal Family. The cloak is attatched by a chain of gold connected to a clap made of gold. Grodvir is also known to constantly carry a staff that is emblazonned with a holy symbol dedicated to Tyril, this staff is supposedly a powerful magical artifact know as Oblivion's Bane.

Personality

There are two major personalities when discussing Grodvir Bronzeforge. His personal and his professional persona, each one is only prominent in their own right, but neither is really the true personality of Grodvir as he is an extremely centred person, while he can have strong personal connections in his professional and even personal life, his actual personality is hidden deeply within his religious duties.

Personal

As a member of nobility within Sovmora and Terlas, Grodvir has been extremely open and friendly, hosting parties for grandious numbers of people, especially those who have a level of influence. Many of the nobles see him as kind hearted and generous, particularly when it comes to those who reside within the lower classes. His parties and gatherings are very prominently filled with magical elements and kind tricks that entertain guests, those with a large influence and those with none.

Professional

As the Highbearer of Law, Gordvir is a very different person, he acts as if the weight of the law is entirely on his frame. He is solemn and contemplative, spending more time considering each case that is laid before him. Especially with his connection to Terlas, he is also prone to look to other nations for their understanding of the law and justice. As Highbearer of Law, while he is not directly the leader of the group, Grodvir spends a significant amount of time focusing on the actions of the Hands of Tyril as the core enforcers of the law, this has also led to a reputation of him being known as the "Everwatchin Eyes" because despite his blindness he is able to see into the truth of a matter regardless of how obscured elements are by any form of corruption.

Relgious

When it comes to a true measure of Grodvir's personality, one should point to his personality in the form of his relgious worship. Grodvir is extremly pious having developed his connection to Tyril from an early age and keeping the worship close to his heart for many years. He was blessed with the title "Heart of Tyril" because of his intense passion and kindness, despite this however he is known to be extremely tempered and quiet when not performing for large crowds. Those closest to him are aware of his scars, both mental and physical, which are still waiting to fade, and as such understand his high wisdom that is often shrouded behind a charismatic mask.

Biography

Early Life

Grodvir was born in 606 AR to Prince Korthan Bronzeforge and Lady Quavi Bronzeforge, at the time of his birth, he became fourth in line to the ancient dwarven throne of Terlas, the first decade of his life were calm and happy with Grodvir spending time with his parents and family. However this all changed after the deaths of his parents during the events of Daras-Kon Vilenichte. Grodvir was given a small stone by his mother, Quavi. When the stone was activated he was transported away from Terlas and sent over to a small village outisde Sovmora called Varian. Here he was found and sent to Sovmora to report what occured to the current Highbearers. He chose to focus for a few years under the tutalage of the Hands of Tyril, with a specific focus on the development of his innate connection to divine magic through his royal heritage.

Highbearer

It was in 684 AR that Grodvir was appointed Highbearer of Law, for his service not only to Tyril but also for his recognised wise judgements as a member of The Watchmasters, where he worked as an Adjudicator, specifcally judging those who broke the laws of Sovmora. Upon his appointment there was a surge of populatrity for him, primarily due to the success of his initiatives on fair an just punishment that befit the crime and person rather than a singular ideal of one punishment for all cases.   As Highbearer of Law, Grodvir was responsible for the removal of Clan Durrik and The Order of Shadows from Terlas, reclaiming the ancestral home of the dwarves with other refugees from the city state. This gave him the opportunity to reclaim the throne of the city state, however Grodvir refused, claiming instead the global power of Highbearer that allows him to help everyone not just himself.
