The Archani Concalve is a semi-secretive collection of some of the most powerful and studious spellcasters in the world of Nonvyrox. They share information and perform intense and somewhat dangerous research into the depths of magical potential. The public facing group is an ancient order of the Conclave who are dedicated to sharing knowledge as a set of public libraries and schools, this is to hide the true purpose of the Conclave.

Tenets of the Conclave

Some say that the Conclave was formed in a similar ways to many religious orders around the world. Primarily in the ways that they handle their want for research and understanding. For many these ways are instead tenets of understanding that guide them in their research, especially towards improving understanding of a topic, better than anyone else in their field. The three tenets of the Conclave are said to be written on an important symbol of members of the Inner Sanctum's power, however they are also written on the door frame of all public facing buildings of the Conclave.

Learning more on one subject, expands understanding of all.

Each single moment can be filled with new discoveries.

Structure

There are two main facets to the Archani Conclave. The first is the public facing group of the Conclave. These are primarily scholars who wished to help educate those across the southern parts of Ossalimar. This includes many public libraries and schools that have been set up throughout several of the major cities and towns across the realm. Throughout the continent, there are at least 200 people who act as facilitators of this free and open learning community, however, they themselves would not count themselves among the ranks of the membership. The second facet, is the main way that the Conclave have worked since its reformation in 642 AR. This is the secretive society among the members of the Conclave. A group of 10 to 20 powerful archmages who have collected together from all over the world, looking to share their power and understanding, but also to delve deeper into the different extremes of the world. This group is known as the Inner Sanctum, and those with knowledge of who they are, respect each member with an immense gratitude for their work.

Humble Origins

Upon the ending of the Battle of Tchendor, Hymoth Tressle and Marlas Ulterrian and several other powerful archmages, gathered together to declare that their continent should have a better understanding of life and existence. Additionally, they were seeking out those making deals with fiendish beings and ensuring that none of these infernal beings are brought to the realm. again. The two founders took different routes into the goals, each taking charge of one of the tasks. Hymoth Tressle gathered together the first Inner Sanctum, five powerful arcane users who were trying to learn more of the fiendish planes and stop them from moving into the material plane. Whereas Marlas Ulterrian started to found several libraries using his immense wealth and noble status to gain access to difficult areas. By 612 AR, the public facing group of the Archani Conclave had setup both a university and a school that allowed many people in both the Ossalimarian Empire and Daunka Province to start to learn about history, nature, and magic. However, while one side succeeded, this marked the last time that any of the first Inner Sanctum were heard of. While Hymoth Tressle died, there was less and less heard from the powerful archmages.

Reformation

As he was dying Marlas Ulterrian confided in an up and coming archmage about the secretive side of the Archani Conclave. This was a young Kora Drual, who was already starting to make progress learning about the different planes of existence. By 641 AR, Kora started to actively seek out possible members for the Inner Sanctum, to become the leaders of the Conclave and the foremost arcane practitioners across the realm. Kora reformed the Inner Sanctum to be focused on research and discovery more than trying to hold back fiendish forces, as many of these duties were taken up by other forces within the world. Instead, the Inner Sanctum were to try and push the boundaries of knowledge and find new methods of approaching arcane technologies and practices. As of 755 AR, there are a few theorized members of the Inner Sanctum, particularly in the libraries of the Obsidian Forge and Veritas Convention. These three members have been the most vocal about their research and understanding of existence, particularly because their studies require expensive materials or an understanding of vocal performance. Each of these members have refused to confirm their membership, even in one case, under the effects of a truth revealing aura.

While not the first person to travel the planes and document them, she has learned how to create a piece of technology that has allowed her more simple travel between the Inner Foci, Fae Lands, and other close by planes of existence. Since early 755 AR, she has been unreachable after attempting to create a new and confusing piece of planar technology.
Kassan Lytheer	He/Him	Half-Elven Oracle. Over many years, Kassan has been delving into an understanding of the power of Divination and what that means for him. He has also been trying to use his connection to the ruins of the Arvadians, through which he seems to have a pact, to discover some of their abilities to perceive and change elements of time itself. Kassan has started to craft spells that call upon different schools of magic to replicate some of these effects.
Harmon Stone	He/Him	Giantkin Bard. For the past 20 years, Harmon Stone has been one of the most renown bards in the realm, orchestrating plays and vocal performances that have been performed around the world. However, he has also been secretly trying to understand ancient texts of Kalemancy, manipulating the world through just the use of his voice. Harmon is slowly tinkering away at the potentiality of spells based on this nature.
Elena Hawkstone	She/Her	Gnome Scholar. Elena has been fixated on the different Leylines of the world and how they have come to influence the course of magic. It is said that Elena was able to see the Leylines from a young age, and that some event scarred her to make her scared of certain areas of magical potential in the world.
Xerys Haleton	She/Her	Human Manomancer. Xerys is the first second generation member of the Archani Conlave, with her mother Everys Haleton being the first Manomancer among their ranks. Learning from her mother, Xerys has tried to learn more about how to manipulate the strings of the realm to cast more intense magics.
