Fire fosters creativity while having no limits. That's why you should respect all the Pyros you meet.Pyrokinesis is the elemental ability to manipulate any form of fire, provided all aspects of the Fire Triangle are present. Pyrokines create an exothermic chemical reaction when creating fire or manipulating the surrounding fire, with flames being the visible byproduct. The Division of Superpowered Individuals (DSI) has placed this power under Sector 5 of the Power Index because of how quickly uncontrolled fires can spread. Fire depends on a person's mental state, making pyrokinesis a very dangerous power to use.
Effect
Flames are the visible byproduct created when a Pyrokine wields fire. They come in any colour, but these colours don't give much insight into what type of fire the person is manipulating. In fact, the only time flames colours give any indication of the type of fire is when humans or half-humans are wielding it.
Side/Secondary Effects
Pyrokines can't burn themselves with their own fire, but that's the extent of their protection. They can still be affected by the fumes that might arise, which is terrible for those with lung diseases.
Wielding fire requires a lot of energy, so people can tire out fairly quickly. This is because Pyrokines can create their own flames, as well as manipulate existing ones. Pyrokinesis also needs to have mentally stable users, because fires can quickly get out of control. Many pyrokinetic groups emphasize emotional stability while training people.
Manifestation
When pyrokinesis is being used, the sound of flames can be heard. The volume and pitch of the flame's sound depend on the size of the flame and its power.

Pyrokinesis is drawn from humanoid psionics as a person's mind gives them the ability to manipulate the environment around them. Psionics is created from humanoid genes that allow humanoids to have these capabilities.

Material Components
To use pyrokinesis, the components that allow fire to be created are needed. These factors are known as the Fire Triangle, and it consists of oxygen, fuel and heat. Although oxygen is common, in higher altitudes, it is harder to create fire due to a lower oxygen concentration in the atmosphere.
