When he is not using his powers, Titan appears as a muscular African-American male with above-average height. He lacks any hair.    Titan's Armored Titan form is 16.5 meters tall and has white plates of hardened skin covering the entirety of its body, except for muscles in its cheeks that become exposed when it opened its lipless jaw, as well as the muscle tissue behind its knees, elbows, and feet. Its eyes are covered by white, organic lenses, and it has short, blond hair.

Titan Transformation: Titan has the ability to alter the structure of his physical form, allowing him to transform into a 16.5-meter Armored Titan.   Superhuman Strength: Titan has superhuman strength far greater than normal humans. His strength also extends to his legs allowing him to jump to an unknown extent.   Superhuman Durability: The imperviousness of his robust rocky exterior renders him impervious to the vast majority of rapid fire discharged from range weapons, as well as resisting high amounts of pressure.   Enhanced Endurance: Titan possesses a minor tolerance for pain and injury.   Enhanced Stamina: Titan possesses notable stamina, allowing him fight for extended periods of time.   Enhanced Speed: Despite his rocky exterior, Titan isn't slowed down at all in speed and is able to move at great speeds in a fight.   Regeneration: If Titan's rock form is damaged in any way, it will quickly regenerate and become whole again.   Expert Combatant: Titan is a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, and often uses his powers combined with street-fighting techniques to beat his enemies.   Master Tactician/High-Level Intelligence: Titan is often underestimated by others, due to people seeing his powers and believing that he is a brute. However, he is highly intelligent and calculating enough to accomplish his goals.   Regeneration Withdrawal: Titan possess the ability to consciously control his regenerative ability.   Armor Hardening: While transforming into the Armored Titan, Titan's body automatically produces a hardened, rock-like skin that coveres most of his body, save for areas such as his joints at the back of his legs. The armor is hard enough to repel concentrated cannon fire without even stopping him, blows from other Titans, as well as blade strikes. The durability of this armor is enough to withstand a direct collision. As stated previously, the Armored Titan can choose to harden or not to harden joints at will, sacrificing speed and combat ability for protection. However, similar to medieval armor, his body needs gaps around the joints in order to move with necessary speed. This makes him vulnerable in just a few spots, like the inner part of his knees and his elbows. Additionally, he can harden his fingertips and toes into points in order to grip and climb flat, vertical surfaces.   Brain Function Transfer: Reiner is able to prevent his certain death on multiple occasions after transferring the functions of his brain into the rest of his body. With this profound ability, he is able to survive a direct strike to his spinal cord in the neck. Shortly afterward, he can use this same ability to maintain some control over his Titan form. However, it is said that this ability is incredibly difficult to successfully carry out and is only used as a last resort.
