Obanai Iguro

Obanai is a young man of short stature, pale skin complexion, and a lean, muscular build. He has straight-edged raven-black hair of varying lengths, the longest reaching down to his shoulders and the shortest stopping at his cheekbones, which he wears down with two shorter strands hanging between his eyes. His eyes are almond-shaped and tilt upwards on the far sides, and are unique colored due to Obanai possessing heterochromia—his right eye is yellow and his left eye is teal. He is partially blind, barely able to see out of his right eye.

Obanai's mouth is usually hidden by the bandage he wears over his lower face to hide his large facial scars, which were the result of his family horrifically cutting open his mouth to resemble that of a snake's gape.

Kaburamaru (鏑丸 Kaburamaru?): Obanai, having always been partially blind in his right eye, developed a combat technique utilizing his snake Kaburamaru. Kaburamaru possesses a unique ability which allows him to read and predict a target's attacks and then relay that information to Obanai. Kaburamaru also seems to be capable of understanding human speech and emotions. Kaburamaru is exceptionally clever.   Immense Speed & Reflexes: As a Hashira, Obanai possesses superhuman levels of speed and reflexes.    Enhanced Strength: Despite his short stature and lesser physical strength due to his upbringing, especially when compared to the other Hashira, Obanai still possesses a great amount of physical strength, as shown when he pins Tanjiro to the ground with so much force that he couldn't move or breathe. Obanai was also one of the only Demon Slayers able to turn his Nichirin Sword bright red through sheer grip strength.   Immense Stamina & Endurance: Obanai has displayed his phenomenal stamina and endurance on multiple occasions.     Master Swordsman: As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Obanai was one of the most powerful and skilled swordsmen in the entire organization. Obanai makes use of a unique swordsmanship style that utilizes slithering motions to twist and bend his sword and attack in impossible ways, allowing him to weave through narrow openings with ease despite wielding a standard wooden sword. His swordsmanship prowess allowed him to slaughter hordes of monsters with ease.    Serpent Breathing (蛇の呼吸 Hebi no kokyū?): A Breathing Style Obanai created himself and mastered. This swordsmanship style makes use of twists and turns similar to how a serpent slithers to attack in strange ways. Obanai also learnt to incorporate his pet snake, Kaburamaru (鏑丸 Kaburamaru?), into this Breathing Style, making it extremely effective in combat.    First Form: Winding Serpent Slash (壱ノ型　委蛇斬り Ichi no kata: Idagiri?): The user moves like a slithering snake and releases several slashes in a winding pattern.   Second Form: Venom Fangs of the Narrow Head (弐ノ型　狭頭の毒牙 Ni no kata: Kyōzu no Dokuga?): The user dashes behind their opponent at blinding speed and aims to swiftly slice off their head.   Third Form: Coil Choke (参ノ型　塒締め San no kata: Toguro Jime?): The user circles around their opponent while using their sword to slice them from all directions.   Fourth Form: Twin-Headed Reptile (肆ノ型　頸蛇双生 Shi no kata: Keija Sōsei?): The user leaps forward and performs a horizontal slash that slices through the target.   Fifth Form: Slithering Serpent (伍ノ型　蜿蜿長蛇 Go no kata: En'en Chōda?): The user curves their sword in multiple directions and slices their opponent, making it capable of decapitating multiple enemies at once.   Enhanced Agility: Obanai is able to go from one movement to another, effectively allowing him to dodge attacks, do backflips, and numerous other athletic, gymnastic, and martial implements with ease.    Venomari Venom: Obanai can spray a lime-colored acid on the target's eyes to make them hallucinate their worst fears.    Forked Tongue: Obanai can smell using the tip of his tongue, and a forked tongue allows him to sense from which direction a smell is coming.    Enhanced Lung Capacity: Obanai possess tremendous lung capacity, and is able to use oxygen more efficiently than others while staying active.    Enhanced Bite: Obanai due to his snake-like jaw and fangs, and the poison in said fangs, possess a extremely powerful bite.    Enhanced Durability: Obanai due to his scales, is able to shrug off many attacks.   Enhanced Stealth: Obanai possess extraordinarily skillful expertise in the various ways and techniques of stealth.    Enhanced Smell: Obanai is able to detect certain beasts, beings, objects, places, substances, etc., locate their origins, and even track, using nothing but his senses of smell.    Snake Communication: Obanai is able to communicate with snakes and serpentine creatures, both mundane and magical.    Seismic Sense: Obanai is able to sense and perceive vibrations in the ground.    Claws: Obanai is able to use his claws as devastating weapons.

Obanai wears the standard Slayer uniform, which is black. The uniform consists of a button-up jacket with a stand-up collar and long sleeves, adorned with gold buttons, a shirt pocket on the left breast, and the kanji for Destroy (滅 Metsu?) engraved on the back of the collar. Beneath the jacket, he wears a white long-sleeved collared undershirt. The uniform is fastened at the waist with a white belt and paired with traditional tattsuke-hakama pants in the same koamaru hue. Over his uniform, Obanai wears his signature black-and-white striped haori, the hem and cuffs of which are striped length ways rather than vertically, which covers his hands. For legwear, instead of the standard kyahan, Obanai wraps his lower legs in white bandages, giving the visual impression of traditional kyahan wraps. He also wears another set of white bandages around his lower face. His footwear consists of white zōri sandals with lavender straps, worn over koamaru-colored tabi socks to match the color tint of his uniform. He is also always seen with his white snake, Kaburamaru, wrapped around his shoulders.

Twisted Nichirin Katana: Obanai carries around a heavily modified Nichirin katana similar in appearance to an Indonesian Kris Sword, with the blade's shape modeled into waves resembling a slithering snake. It is lavender in color. His katana's tsuba has a gold circular shape engraved with two snakes connected by several plant-like patterns. His handle is light blue and decorated with a twisting wrap of magenta cord, and a gold kishira. As a Hashira, the words Destroyer of Demons (惡鬼滅殺 Akki Messatsu?) are engraved on the side of the blade. Obanai also carries along a special scabbard made of leather held together by a weak magnetic pull that opens up whenever he uses his katana, and in a brief glimpse, the scabbard is in white color. It is designed so that Obanai unsheathes his sword vertically instead of horizontally.
