Defence Against the Dark Arts: Crouch is a compelling and talented professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Indeed, during his time at Hogwarts, Crouch's personal experience with the Dark Arts allowes him to make very engaging lessons for his students.   Duelling: Crouch is an excellent duellist.   Charms: Crouch is very talented in this field. He can also effortlessly cast simpler charms such as the Engorgement Charm, Shrinking Charm, Summoning Charm and Stunning Spell, showing his proficiency in this field.   Potions: Crouch is excellent at brewing potions.   Transfiguration: Crouch shows impressive skills in this field of magic, especially in the sub-branch of Human Transfiguration, which is the most difficult branch of Transfiguration.   Non-verbal Magic: Crouch can cast many highly advanced spells without uttering incantations, such as when he removed the desks in his classroom.   Acting Skills: Crouch has proven himself to be a very consummate actor.   Teaching Skills: As the students themselves noted, Barty has proven himself to be a very effective instructor regardless of his speciality, as not only does his talent and knowledge in the Dark Arts make his lectures very informative and helpful to the students, he also projectes a powerful charisma that drew his students' attention and interest, making them want to learn from and listen to him.   Phasing: Barty can phase in and out of lion form.    Claws and Fangs: Barty has powerful claws and is able to cut through solid walls. His fangs can tear human flesh and can rip out a human heart right out of their chest cavity. He is able to transform just his claws without transforming fully.   High Body Temperature: Barty has a constant body temperature of about 110° degrees to withstand severe cold weather. This high body heat also allows him to survive in very hot weather, making it hard for his bodies to overheat. This high body temperature is very useful in combat, as it makes it extremely hard for vampires to harm him because they are extremely sensitive to heat. This temperature also prevents frequent illness, by killing any potential pathogens he comes into contact with before he can become ill.    Regeneration: Barty has a powerful regenerative healing factor. This allows him to heal at an abnormal rate, faster than any human being can. Small cuts and minor injuries heal within seconds while larger, more damaging injuries, such as broken bones, blood loss, and vampire venom infection seem to heal within minutes.    Invulnerability: Barty cannot be killed by most conventional means and weapons, however, certain supernatural weapons, as well as silver, can kill him. He can also be killed by methods decapitation, dismemberment, as well as certain supernatural beings.    Enhanced Sense of Smell: Barty have a greater sense of smell then humans, he can smell pheromones.
