Prelude
At the end of the War of the Mad Psychers that saw the transition from the Psychic Concordat to the Galactic Imperium people were angry and afraid of psionics.
The Engagement
Because of the fear and anger towards psionics, The Scream began, waves of fanatical fearmongers spread through the galaxy to destroy all vestiges of psionics. It would be centuries before anything close to the technological advances prior to the Psychic Concordat would be seen in the galaxy.
