Aboleths

A species of highly intelligent, telepathic and ancient beings who are thought to be a byproduct of Elder Beings entering the Material Plane during the Planar War. They are not as mind-crushing or generally anti-social as their Cthulid cousins however. They form tight-knit and loving families in the deepest depths of the ocean where they remain secluded from other beings. They occasionally rise up to inspect the state of the surface world but this happen every rarely. They are mostly considered a myth by most species save the Cthulids, Teth'Null, Deep Ones and a few well-traveled wizards. They are willing to work with other beings but usually on their own terms. They are sometimes contacted by the Teth'Nul during investigations into ancient secrets which the Aboleths rarely cooperate with. The only species the Aboleths have greater feelings than apathy for are the moon elves who they find interesting.    Aboleth 5e stats
