Personal history
Srisha Reddy Kansra was born on July 17th, 1978, to a Gujarati Father, Nimesh Vipul Kansra, and a Telugu Mother, Aaghnya Reddy Kansra, in the city of Rajkot within Hindustan Province. Her mother had immigrated from India in 1975 to live with her father after their marriage, and soon after gave birth to Srisha and her older sister, Arya. Srisha's interest in cricket began in 1983, after she and her father attended a match between Nisha and South Africa, in which she watched Trishul Swadag score his first century as captain. Afterwards, in 1984, Kansra was signed up for cricket camp, and the rest of her career is history. In 2002, at the age of 24, Srisha made her debut for Nisha in a Test against India, and then made her ODI debut in December of the same year. From then on, Kansra went on to be one of the leading run-scorers in the Women's side, retiring from international cricket in 2014, after a 12-year career. In 2019, Kansra became the batting coach for the Hindustani Women's Team, helping to lead them to a championship title in 2022. Throughout her entire life, Kansra has remained single, although she adopted 2 children after her retirement in 2014.

Motivation

Social
Family Ties
Unusually, Kansra has no family ties to any people in the cricketing world, which is uncommon in a sport with such a long presence in Nisha. However, she is of mixed Gujarati-Telugu descent, with her father, Nimesh Vipul Kansra, being Gujarati and her mother, Aaghnya Reddy Kansra, being Telugu. Being born in Gujarati Hindustan, she is more in tune with her Gujarati side, as she can speak and read the language fluently, compared to only mastering the basics of Telugu. Kansra also has an older sister, named Arya Kansra Kothari, as well as a younger brother, Aatreya Kansra
