Personal history
Sokhari Ashtdar was born to a Buddhist family in Spahaana, Valukhistan on June 29th, 1994, as the younger of two children. At the age of two, the Ashtdar family moved to Vihara, Sugthistan, due to Sokhari's father, Picharah getting a better job within the city. In school, Ashtdar excelled, quickly picking up the local language, that being Sogdian-Yaghnobi. Lessons in Sugthistani classrooms are separated by Nishari and Sogdian-Yaghnobi, so she quickly adapted. In year 7, Ashtdar picked up cricket, to help boost her grades, as her school agreed to boost all grades by 3 points for any student participating in sports. To her surprise, she quickly rose to her school's first squad, and that would later manifest in a varsity career at Nishapur University, chasing a career in Finance, although she would be picked up by Sugthistan State cricket right before graduating. 3 years later, in 2018, she would debut internationally but only played one match. After that, Ashtdar would have to wait until 2021 to receive another call-up, in order to replace Hira Kaur for 4 months, as the latter had temporarily retired from T20I cricket in order to rearrange her workload, briefly also playing ODI and Test cricket after Kaur sustained a moderate injury. Today, she is still considered an upcoming cricketer internationally. Domestically, she is the Test Captain of Sugthistan, as well as the Vice Captain in One-Day and T20 formats. She would be the captain for all formats but often receives a call-up for the White Ball formats.
