Tale of the jade harp

The Tale of te Jade harp is a story in the Ahrum myth. It talkes about a young elf named Æneir and his adventure up a mountain to get a magical jade harp from a giant. It was created in 453 YSC and is told by the preists of Musneir.

Summary

Æneir goes to the temple of Musneir in the city of Hangshire to learn the ways of the arts. The preist told him to get a jade harp from the top of the mountain from the giant and he'll teach him. Thinking it would be easy, Æneir went to obtaint it. When he got to the foot of the mountain he had to fight a Ferrer attacked him. He was about to be eaten when Kulder, the god of blacksmithing, saved him and gave him an axe made of the claws of the creature. Around the middle of the mountain he was attacked by a Vulthur. He tried to attack it wiht his axe but it took the axe out if his hand and dropped it down the mountain. He was about to be taken away when Bortghar, the goddess of hunting, gave him a bow. He shot the Vulther before it grabbed him and was given the eyesight of the creature. At the top he found the giants cave. He entered it and the giant shouted at him. This caused a big fight that he was about to lose whe Musneir gave him his magical lute, a lute that could put anyone to sleep. He used the lute and made the giant sleep. He took the jade harp back to the preist and learned the magic of musnier.

Historical Basis

Some say that it wasn't true until in 866 YSC. Some miners found an axe made from a ferrer's claws next to a mountain.

The legend was spread across all lands that worshipped Ahrum.

The legend is written as a short story. It can also be found in the book of Ahrumian legends.

In Art

There is some paintings about the legend in some Musneir temples. There also was a song written about the encounter.
