Magical Tradition
The Magical Traditions are the four ways of practicing magic. Each utilize their own general methods of controlling magical energies and draw those energies from different sources.
The four traditions are:
- Arcane: Arcane magic uses direct control of direct sources of magical energy—usually the innate magical power of the caster or an object. Out of all the traditions, this one requires the most meticulous study and personal comprehension.
- Divine: Divine magic derive its power from deities or other divine entities, relying on them to supply the magical energy and guide the caster in controlling it. Divine magic can also refer to the magic used by the divine entities themselves.
- Occult: Occult magic tap into mysterious forces to recreate paranormal phenomena. The exact source and inner-workings of their craft can never be fully understood, not even scholars of the arcane traditions.
- Primal: Primal magic harnesses the raw magic in the environment to recreate natural phenomena at will.
