Aslaug is an exiled disgraced daughter of a noble, her family and other noble families inherit elemental abilities of which she inherited water. She was condemned to exile by her stepmother who wrongfully had her accused of murdering her brother. As such she had to forfeit her family title and lands and was forced into exile. Since then she seeks adventure like her mother and to find a way to help her people from the tyrannical hold of her stepmother who bleeds them dry financing her lavish lifestyle.

Personal history
Born into a noble family of Loch Laggan under the name Alyndra. Her mother who gained noble rank by being an adventurer and gaining riches and fame, which endeared her mother to her father. Her mother died when she was born, and she had a slightly older brother. Her father remarried shortly after to a member of the rich banking house. Her new step-mother sought power and wealth, pushing her father to raise taxes to support the luxurious lifestyle she was used to back home. During the years of living with her step-mother, Alyndra grew to dislike her and her step-mother did not like her or her younger brother much. when she was 90 her brother drowned while they were playing after hitting his head after jumping off the cliffs near the Loch, deemed an accident she never forgave herself for letting him run ahead, making it so she wasn't there, if she had been he might have been saved. When she was 23, her father died getting sick and within three days he was dead, with her being deemed the new heir, which ehr step-mother did not like wanting her children to inherit, so she used her power and influence to charge Alyndra with the murder of her brother in retrospect, claiming she killed him to become heir, as a result, Alyndra was disgraced changed her name to Aslaug, getting exiled away from her family.
