Forest of Telamirein
You could claim that Telamirein is safer than Marlun. But that probably is because one lives away from the most dangerous areas. Even if many claim their home area is dangerous, there are very few that can say so to anyone who lives close to the Great Forest. The Forest of Telamirein is an unclaimed, danger-infested and haunting area to the like of all of Marlun. It is so for many reasons, and not even the mighty Orfordwhelm takes on what is inside it. Perhaps that can make some understand the dangers inside...In the center of Telamirein is the expansive Forest of Telamirein. It is known for being a territory of wildness and nature, mostly all hostile to any Human that enters. There are very few settlements that survive or thrive without fear of suddenly disappearing or being attacked by the creatures that call the forest their home. The few people who call the forest their home live close to its border on either Nilaminra's or Orfordwhelm's side.— Everam, Teller of Nimenra
Geography
The Forest of Telamirein is a dense forest with a mix of what Telamirein's overall nature can offer. While not impossible to go across since it has been historically done before, the terrain varies a lot with the occasional hills located inside and small creeks that give fresh water. The most notable of all features that are known is the river Vieavon that flows straight through. The large river has its history summarized by its banks with abandoned villages and ruins of both settlements and ships. Dangers lurk both inside and outside the waters, making travel dangerous for anyone who tires.Wildlife and plants
From small rabbits, birds and crawling insects to large predators like the Giant wolf, Bark snake and the Lionnert the forest is filled with dangers as well as bountiful riches. Nowhere else can one find some of the species inside the forest like the rare Crystal Foxes that are both a reality and myth to different peoples. Another is the small plant Poor Cure that is said to be very restorative in vigour to those who know how to make use of it.The life inside has stopped many efforts to try to claim the forest with failure. It is almost as if the whole forest itself is reacting back at any trespassers. This mythical belief is also related to sightings of Gale, Nymphs, fairies and other fantastical creatures not proven to exist. Then again... who knows what is inside?
