Viaiosmandibulidae
TheĀ Viaiosmandibulidae is a pretty large and varied family of mostly epipelagic amphibians found in both hemispheres of the planet.
Mostly found in tropical waters, some rare genera evolved to survive in colder climates, inhabiting the boreal waters of Yan.
Most Genera in the family live in salt-waters but exceptions to this exsist too.
The family is characterized by the extremely segmented cranial armor and the presence of venom glands with specialized canals running along the Dorsal fin's rays.
These animals take their name from the extremely powerful bite they use to chew armored plants and amphibians alike; other unique feature in the family is the morphology of the fins, which have growths of layered skin flaps along their base, used for sexual selection.
Mostly brightly colored.
