  Backstory (Major Events):
  Ideals: Lanny finds the search for knowledge quite fun, but if she has to choose between using that knowledge for the greater good and continuing the search, she'll choose to help. She loves to explore, and especially loves to share her findings with others as she believes knowledge should be free.
  Strengths: In addition to her skills as a scholar, Lanny is surprisingly strong (she carries around server racks on a regular basis without taking the servers out), which means she can use equipment/weapons that 'normal' people would have a hard time lifting. Finally, if Lanny wants to do something, she will do it -- so beware!
  Flaws: Lanny's inability to do things she finds 'boring' could be ADHD if she were human, especially with her poor impulse control. This poor impulse control often manifests as not asking for permission (or assuming permission from a dubious situation) before doing The Thing She Wanted To Do Anyway. Both of these traits (especially the latter), in combination with her poor social skills, mean she has a hard time building and maintaining relationships.
  Personality: Lanny is overall quite sanguine, bouncing back from setbacks remarkably quickly. However, this tendency is antithetical to the type of introspection that would allow her to identify and fix her flaws. She continually falls into the same habits that have gotten her into trouble, but over time she is trying to improve (slow as it may be).
