It's A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock & Roll - Part 1

General Summary

It's A Long Way To The Top, If You Want To Rock & Roll - Part 1

Attendees: Andrew, Maryann, Eric

    • I find myself imagining Forty singing some of my favourite songs. For this title, though, there is only one Bon Scott - forever missed.
    • If you want to hear a better version of Forty's "new song" Sick Muse, here is the actual songwriters, a Toronto band called Metric.
  • There was no chance in hell I was going to sing for you guys!

What Went Down

  • The crew returned to Wex's warehouse to learn more about Io's jacket. Wex is obviously just a middleman for assorted goods and doesn't want to burn his sources. This is not only for the sake of his business, but also for his personal safety. Under verbal pressure from Cipher, Wex thinks that the jacket may have been in a shipment from Rico Ortega.
While Io, Cipher and Sébastien talked to Wex, Athlon accessed the computer in the small office shack. Easily defeating the password, he acquired an inventory file and then battled an Asp Black IC program. Although he defeated the Asp, it did manage to destroy his Armor program. This means that Athlon must buy a new Armor program.
While walking Luna for Sébastien, Io bumped into John - one of the patrons from Quantum Echoes. He asked her to sub for his regular driver on a delivery from the docks. The receivers are Tyger Claws, and they react negatively to Io's presence, but John manages to keep the peace. The cargo is transferred, and Io is paid 400 eb.
On Saturday night, the crew returns to The Last Drop. Forty is back, and their popularity is growing; the bar is busier than ever before. Higgy, Nina and Forty blast out some of their best-known tunes and drop a couple of new ones.
Adam Dore, Forty's father and a former rockerboy, approaches the team with a request. The band is auditioning for a keyboardist to fill out their sound. They really want to meet with Juno Vega, but she disappeared in the Upper Marina district. The band cannot afford to pay the team, but they offer word-of-mouth endorsements.

Notable Events

  • Things are beginning to form up that will allow the crew to see more of the world beyond the Watson district.
Rent/Lifestyle payment will be due in a week. Time to hustle and find more eddies!
