Isaiah "Higgy" Higman

Higgy was born and raised in Los Angeles. For reasons that he keeps to himself, he moved to Night City four years ago. Higgy is a broad-shouldered Black man whose long dreadlocks are braided with multicoloured cloth that fly with every crash of the cymbals. It seems impossible for him not to be seen with a smile.

He met Julia Dore at a bar in the University District, and they bonded over their mutual dislike for the house band. It was not long before the two musicians began playing together and formed as Forty. On stage, he’s all grin and sweat, radiating joy as he drives the band’s sound with precise, thunderous rhythm that makes even sloppy dive-bar crowds feel tight and alive. Off stage, Higgy is the steady center of the band’s little universe — the one who defuses fights, checks in on his friends, and quietly keeps everyone showing up on time and in one piece.

It was Higgy who gave Forty her nickname. Back when the two first met, she told him, "I feel like we have failed thirty-nine times." Ever the optimist, he replied, "Well, Forty, let's make this one count!"
