The Observatory
The Observatory is an ancient structure originally used by the denizens of Nexus to map much of the Material Plane. It's many magical lenses are capable of piercing the veil of crystal spheres, allowing observation beyond Nexus' solar system. This allowed the study of both the Astral Plane as well as other crystal spheres on the Material Plane, giving the scholars of old knowledge of other worlds without the advanced magics required for actually traveling there. The Observatory eventually fell out of use and sat abandoned for many years, until recently. New scholars recovered the ancient key required to access the facility and have begun to use it to study Nexus' moon as well as the sky around it, searching for clues as to why Selûne, the Moon Goddess, has seemingly vanished.
