For The Sparkles!
Ever wonder how people can get away with a whole transformation sequence? So did we...
"Witness my true power!" The villain cackled as power surged through him and his limbs began to distort.
"[redacted] prism power!"
Yeah, as we're just gonna sit here and let Sailor Pancake finish her transformation sequence... wait, why is nobody stopping this?!"
Our very scientific Nexus answer is cuz "we (sometimes) put thought into our transformations, and you WILL witness our efforts!"
...OK, it's actually that feeling of absolute dread that forms in the pit of one's stomach when the thought croses their mind... like trying to do so will break the fabric of existance, or have unimaginable consequences for the interloper.
Manifestation
An all encompassing feeling of dread/loathing/terror at the mere notion of interrupting someone mid-transformatiom. The stronger the thought, the worse the revulsion, up to the point of vomiting in some cases.
For those who overcome those feelings and are hell-bent on dividing shounen by zero, the Nexus makes good on the aforementioned feeling of impending catastrophe. Tangible magical attacks are reflected back at the caster, having their effects localized to spare those who were kind smart enough to wait their turn.
Physical melee attacks feel sharp riposte, taking double the damage of their attack and rebounding any status effects along with it.
For those who thought themselves safe with ranged physical attacks or intangible magic, we of the Nexus have observed that you are going to have a bad time.
If you like colors, great! You'll be seeing a lot of them as lighting strikes of every color will descend upon you in succession, dealing percent max health damage to the town of 15% a strike... for at least 3 hits. It only gets worse with successive attempts. we stopped testing after 4 attempts because we just couldn't recover health fast enough.
Localization
This phenomenon is exclusive to the Nexus Plane and it's elimmediate sub-realms, excluding the interior of The Arena.
