New World

Reborn from Ashes

What once was connected has been broken into pieces that drove apart and formed the continents of the New World. Presiding such catastrophe was an era of war, when races battled races and the mortals challenged gods. At the peak of conflicts, when the world was falling into ruin, an explosion occurred, shaking the ground and accompanies by the blinding light. Suddenly, the world has changed. All the people fell asleep and as they awakened, there were no memories of the world before. There were only ruins of cities, devastated land and grounds soaked in blood. People all over the world were confused, but they took the world as a gift and started to rebuild it utilizing the resources they have found. This marked the beginning of the New World, as for everyone it was obvious there was something before, but none could remember.

To Learn and Discover

The beginning of the new history was marked by a devastating event named Cataclysm. Many things have changed, but many more stayed the same, only the memories have disappeared. All over the world, people have awaken in the cities and villages with no recollection of their origin or purpose. Enveloped by structures and machines, they started to learn from beginning, rediscovering the facts they once knew. As the time progressed, they have discovered old libraries with scripts describing the history before the Cataclysm. Each region had a piece of the world history recorded in their books, making it the basis of their culture. Different races have struggled for survival, as the land they inherited was destroyed after a war. Even with the records, the memories did not return, and the people have decided to abandon the old world and focused on rebuilding new one. The New World is a unique place, where monuments of history stand all over the world yet no person truly remembers where they come from. It is land of discovery, lost knowledge, and change. The land where even the smallest of people can uncover unknown truths and become the driving force of the world's future.

More Real than Magical

Not only the history of the world has disappeared in the minds of people, but also the understanding of magic, religion, and cosmos. While those aspects are still present in the world, no one knows how they work or what their true form is. Magic is believed to be part of everything as if it was a strange substance covering all the things in the world. The way to harness it and utilize for arcane purposes is unknown and many practitioners all over the world are doing scientific research on magic. Anyone is capable of uncovering arcane potential but to truly understand it is onlz possible to few. For the religion, it bears an important role in the world. People follow gods for their morality, characteristics, and teaching, not to gather divine power or get sacred gifts. The influence of gods is real, but it is distant and in most cases cannot give more than just spiritual guidance. New World is more real than fantastical, but it is not a purely realistic world. The loss of memories is the reason behind arcane and religious ignorance, and the world hides many pieces that can recover the knowledge of those forgotten truths.
