The Sister who Sacrificed
When the world began to grow cold, as the sun lost it heat weaking because of some unseen force. One of his sister gave up much of her life so that he could live. The sun would never know her name as it once was, her sister unable to know it as well. For the cost to ensure life stayed upon the world was not simple her body but also much of who she was as a person. Over the years the moons and sun have forgotten her deed simple viewing her as the little sister who could never amounting to much unaware she was once the large and strongest of all of them, yet what she is now does not care for she has her family and her duty to keep making life and that is all she cares about.
Historical Basis
The sun was dying due to the fact that it didn't have enough fuel to keep itself stable. One of the moons circling New Terra sacrificed the majority of its mass to fuel the sun long enough that it is now stable. This moon now travels the System gathering leftover materials of planets and moons fling them it the sun so that it may survive and provide life to all of the other worlds. The reason for the unstable sun is due to one of the father away plants set to become a twin sun but was dragged away from something but not before destabilizing the sun something that should of been a slow death but for some reason one of the moons around the inhabitable world was knock out of orbit and the chunks flung into the sun acting like food. The moon was flung into space and sent back by the other planets in a perfect dance.
Cultural Reception
It is the job of the eldest to protect the younger, it is the job of the elder to guide and be kind to those who were born after them. As the eldest sister of the system had given up her body so her brother who gives life to all around them, the eldest child must be the guard and the caretaker whenever the parents are not around.
The shifter who lives in the homeland view this story as a lesson to caring for your pack and your siblings that using one body to keep them safe is important. To guard those you hold dear is what life is meant to be about, protecting the weaker is the job of the strong.
For those shifters living in the woods and desert gathering mana from what they can of the earth, this story is a reminder of why they suffer. That they gave up a life of simple living so the world can thrive, that they are the ones who the sister of sacrifice looks down upon and smiles. They do not care about the pain they suffer the wounds or the lost of family for they are doing it for a greater duty.
