  This quarry supplied the city of Gottegarh with nearly all of its stone as well as serving several other nearby towns. Like many quarries and mines in parts of the world, the tunnels brought humans closer to the Earth Impel and those who lingered in its tunnels observed strange phenomena. Reports of lights flickering in the darkness and "the sound of a lizard's tail sliding over rocks" were common.   But unlike most other sites which were quickly abandoned as soon as such reports came in, the Sneyguir Quarry was brought to the attention of local authorities and ordered to be investigated. It was the earliest recorded interaction with Earth Impel in Salughur and possibly the world. The experiments performed here would found the research of professors and sorcerers alike as well as provide the basis for Angbatt and Kaghuratt.
