Dier Nadassa

When Antona Creinures burned his way through the Greenbelt, he came upon a vast plain. Thinking he had somehow gotten turned around in the forests and was back in the Pampas, he ordered a tower built so that he might survey the new land. No quicker was any building ever constructed.
--The diaries of Beb Johanna
An immense tower built by Antona Creinures's bands soon after their emergence from the Greenbelt around the year 330. The purpose of the building was unclear with conflicting accounts given. Antona's advisor Beb Johanna claims it was a watchtower by which to survey the wide plains for food or threats, though it was known that Antona forged certain entries in the man's diary. Rumors among the builders suggested Antona intended to father a new city around his tower. Whatever the case, with the blessing of Eustitte, the twenty story spire was erected in merely twenty days.   The tower served as Antona's base of operations for several years and though fields and farms sprang up around it, no other permanent buildings were established. This is attributed to the onset of Antona's insanity which had been gradual over the course of the journey but accelerated with the construction of Dier Nadassa. Though his policies were favorable and tithes minimal, rumor of his madness stayed settlers. Even his most faithful followers fell away from to build settlements down the coast and along the many rivers running through the land like fingers.   In a mere twenty years, the tower was abandoned after Antona disappeared. Its valuables were quickly made off with and much of the paper records were lost to storms and rot. Shamblers gather there in greater numbers every year.
