Rel Parnan
Government
Rel Parnan, like all TTC colonies is run by a wealthy governor employed by the TTC directly. While Governor Geofram Noldon absolutely controls the majority of governance in the city, the day to day oversight is delegated to a council of citizens chosen by Governor Noldon. Each member of the council oversees a specific portion of Rel Parnan's governance. First Lieutenant Braim Alton oversees the guard force and village security, Chief Builder Krag Gelder oversees construction projects and infrastructure, First Clerk Lustil Navarren controls the colony's commerce and tax policy, and First Steward Branteg Trask oversees all legal and judicious matters.
History
Founded three years after the Lifting of the Veil, Rel Parnan was the first successful colony to take its place on the southern continent of Daigian. The politically and economically powerful Tystari Trading Company sent a military force and a fleet of workers to begin constructing a colony to gain an early foothold in the trade of a number of spices and herbs native to the new lands. Several TTC colonies have since been established on Daigian. but Rel Parnan remains the primary old world presence on the continent, supported most significantly by the exotic resources found in The Kipekan Wilds.
Geography
Rel Parnan sits at the mouth of the Parnan'fel river on a low and fertile floodplain. To the north, The Kipekan Wilds lures eager adventuring parties with its untold mysteries. To the east, the coast of Ard'ammat can be seen just on the horizon.
