The Indarrans exist in a constant hypocrisy when it comes to the use of Arcane magic. Forbidden to their people, and looked down on with disgust, arcane magic is the backbone of all Indarran society. Arcane magic is responsible for powering the complex machines used in warfare, and the construction of the material known as Ind from which all of their cities and strongholds are built. It is also used to enhance their food and drink by being sewn into the soil. As such, members of the Indarran race are entrusted with utilizing arcane magic only for these purposes in great buildings known as Arcanals. These Spellbleeders draw magic from creatures known to have connection to the arcane flow, and concentrate it into a usable medium. Spellbleeders are experts on the research and utilization of arcane magic in Indarran society, but are often thought of as lesser members of the race due to the nature of their work. Typically, the lowest of the low are assigned to maintain Arcanals and perform their reviled experiments.
