Joyful Creation
A story of how the gift of creativity should be utilised, even though it has potential for great evil.
Summary
Alone in a village is a priest, a woodcutter and a farmer without a leg. Their village was almost razed after cannons fired at them and bandits cut them down. While the priest prayed to the gods for salvation, for food, the woodcutter cut down man trees and began to shape them. After several days of praying, the man with no leg was at death's door, but the woodcutter revealed a prosthetic that he had created. After a few days of working with it, the farmer returned to his work, and soon they had food for it all. The priest thanked the gods, but the woodcutter just chuckled, as the farmer thanked him for saving them. The woodcutter also thanked the gods, specifically Creas, for allowing him to save the man.
Historical Basis
The first recorded instance of a prosthetic leg.
Variations & Mutation
Some stories have the priest help the woodcutter with the crafting, but surprisingly most churches keep him doing nothing, as a lesson in the duty of the material world.
Cultural Reception
Some churches were offended by the bumbling portrayal of the priest.
