Nephthys, Goddess of Honour and Protective Magic
The wife of Horus, Nephthys is the patron of magic users who focus on wards, shields, and healing magic. Her clerics are well versed in giving magical aid, and are often found accompanying clerics of Horus into remote areas to offer assistance. Most specialists in wards are also clerics of Nephthys, as the knowledge is kept relatively secret and Star Mages gifted in shield magic, specifically, are extremely rare.
Nephthys very rarely projects an avatar into the world, but when she does it is always to right a grave wrong. She possesses the unique authority to overrule the Divine Judge, Chiron, stepping in to save mortals from his incredibly harsh punishments when circumstances should absolve the accused of their guilt. This aspect of her persona is considered one of the great mysteries of the Avian Gods.
Specific references to deities from the old world that are not found or worshiped in the new one are censored for the most part. Nephthys' great secret is that Horus is her second husband, having once been married to a different god in the old world. That god became evil, and Nephthys chose to betray him rather than betray herself.
